The ICON H-Bridge is a compact, powerful H-bridge for use in applications driving DC motors or similar loads (heaters, TEMs, etc.). The module has a TTL level serial interface that can access diagnostic information provided by a microcontroller located on the board. Each MOSFET on the H-bridge can be controlled individually through 4 control lines. Enabling and disabling the H-bridge is accomplished through the serial interface or via an enable line (when in direct control mode). When using this H-bridge, 'shoot-through' conditions can not occur. When used as a daughter board for the ICON Interface Module (ICON_IM) DC motor speed control is reduced to TTL level serial commands or an analog signal (0-4.096V). The ICON Position Controller (ICON_PID) can be used in conjunction with the ICON H-Bridge and a DC motor equipped with a quadrature encoder to implement PID based motor position control. The ICON Interface Module and ICON Serial Adapter (ICON_AD) can also be used as a programming platform for the ICON H-Bridge. Software located in the ICON Interface Module 'Info' section can be used to modify all of the settings that are user accessible in the ICON H-Bridge.
